Hello, my name is Tom Voyles and I'm the coordinator of the Irish Special Interest Group. We meet the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until noon in the Osceola Room of the Chula Vista Recreation Center, 1011 Rio Grande Drive. No meetings June through September. If you have a question about this SIG, send me an email with your question, and I will respond as quickly as I can.
Meetings are free-flowing question and answer sessions and discussions. At some meetings Tom presents information on a particular topic having to do with Irish genealogy.
At other sessions he may bring in Irish soda bread, or show a video having to do with Ireland or Irish genealogy. Tom has written a research guide which he passes out to members which outlines the records that are available, what information is contained in them, and how and where to access them.
You must be a member of The Villages Genealogical Society to participate in our meetings.
